    < II > Software Installation Advisory

          1. For those who installed EMM386.EXE in your CONFIG.SYS, please
             exclude memory address D400-D7FF from your system. Ethernet
             PCMCIA Card will use this space to read Ethernet ID and other
             information from on-board flash ROM.

                Example 1: DEVICE=EMM386.EXE NOEMS X=D400-D7FF
                Example 2: DEVICE=EMM386.EXE NOEMS X=D000-DFFF

           2. For those who installed Card and Socket Services device drivers
              in yours CONFIG.SYS, please run CARDOPEN.EXE after those device
              drivers since CARDOPEN is a Card Services Client and should only
              be activated after the Card and Socket Services drivers are
              activated.

                Example 1:(DataBook CardTalk)
                DEVICE=SS_2.SYS (Socket Service driver)
                DEVICE=CARDTALK.SYS (Card Service driver)
                DEVICE=CARDOPEN.EXE /PORT=300 /INT=5

                Example 2:(SystemSoft CardSoft)
                DEVICE=SS365SL.EXE (Socket Service driver)
                DEVICE=CS.EXE (Card Service driver)
                DEVICE=CSALLOC.EXE C:\path\CSALLOC.INI
                DEVICE=CARDOPEN.EXE /PORT=300 /INT=5

                Example 3:(Phoenix PCMPlus)
                DEVICE=PCMSSDB.EXE (Socket Services driver)
                DEVICE=PCMCS.EXE (Card Service driver)
                DEVICE=CARDOPEN.EXE /PORT=300 /INT=5

    < III > To let the Ethernet PCMCIA Card work properly, please follow the

          instructions:

          1. Determine which Network OS the machine used.

          2. Read the file "HELP.TXT" in the driver disk and modify some of

             system information files, such as "AUTOEXEC.BAT", "CONFIG.SYS",

             "PROTOCOL.INI", if necessary.

          3. copy the proper network driver(s) from driver disk to the desired

             directory.

       For more information, please refer to the specific topic in HELP.TXT
